Have You Got A Positive Attitude? 2

This invisible talisman has two amazing powers; it has the power to attract wealth, success, happiness and health; and it has the power to repel these things, to rob you of all that makes  life worth living. The first of these powers is the positive attitude, it enables some people to climb to the top and stay there. The second is the negative attitude and it keeps others at the bottom of their life.
Those who believe they can’t repel the positive; they use the negative side of their talisman. Those who believe they can repel the negative; they use the positive side. That is why we must be cautious  when we use this talisman. Its positive mental attitude side can get for you all the rich blessings of life. It can help you to overcome your difficulties and to discover your strengths. It can help you to step out ahead of your competitors and it can turn what others say is impossible into reality.
The negative attitude side is just as powerful. Instead of happiness and success, it can attract despair and defeat. Like all power, the talisman is dangerous if we do not use it properly.
Most people are controlled through the power of habit. They are imitators and copiers of their past selves. All physical impressions are the carrying out of the actions of the will and intellect. Most of them lost their courage. The lack of courage creates financial, as well as mental and moral difficulties. Lack of courage destroys your confidence in yourself. It destroys that forceful, positive attitude so important to success.
The person without courage unconsciously draws to himself all that is contemptible, weakening, demoralizing and destructive. He then blames his luck when he does not secure the things he weakly desires.
We must first have the courage to strongly desire something. A desire to be fulfilled must be backed by the strength of all our mental forces, Such a desire has enough commanding force to change all unfavourable conditions. The man with courage commands, whether be is on the battlefield or in business life and he is never afraid. That’s positive attitude.
The majority of those who have studied mental attraction understand it to mean that one does nothing but figuratively hold one’s breath and await results, while, on the contrary, very vigorous pushing thoughts occupy the mind. In its cultivated calmness, hard headed, practical business plans are conceived; good judgement gives the power to avoid fatal mistakes; the concentrative strength prevents pernicious activity, which defeats one’s object, and confidence in self produces a feeling of security and peace with a happy optimism. This kind of a mind steadily advances towards prosperity.
Every sensible person knows that results are obtained by putting forth effort of some kind.
Anger, a species of insanity, increases the intensity of thought and seems to drive one’s ideas promiscuously around without their touching anything, producing the same result as would be obtained by striking repeated blows at the air with one’s clinched fist; the harder the blow, the more damaging the result; the more intense the anger, the more mental power lost. This angry condition of mind produces sickness of the body, taking form as sick headache, indigestion, etc. Some think it a sign of strength, but strength of mind lies in the power to hold an even temper at all times.
The proper mental attitude not only allows the free and best use of one’s abilities, but also increases material fortune by attracting the ideas which will push the business or furnish new plans for more acceptable lines, and by bringing one in touch with a more wholesome class of people; first, by one’s strong thought going out meeting and mingling with similar
thought; next, by bringing those on that plane into personal contact, when they invariably become respectful of the other and usually fast friends.
This attitude is not some impossible visionary thing, but is held in some degree by every successful man. If this mental condition be cultivated, the attention being given to its development instead of to some business, the mind lives in a new world, sees everything in a different light.
Opportunities for accumulating money which before escaped notice are evident on every hand, and it is realized that what one does is more important than how much one does.
Positive attitude demands a good energy level and vice versa. When you are fatigued, your usually positive, desirable feelings, emotions, thoughts, and actions have a tendency to turn negative. When you are rested and in good health, the direction is charged back to positive. Fatigue often brings out the worst within you. When your battery is charged and your energy and activity level is up to standard, you are at your best. That is when you think and act with positive attitude.
If you develop and maintain a burning desire to do so, you can even neutralize and changes your tendencies and habits by establishing new ones. You can ‘’round the peg’’ if you are sufficiently motivated. But before you achieve success in changing your tendencies and habits, be prepared to face mental and moral conflicts. You can win if you are willing to pay the price. You may find it difficult to pay each necessary instalment, particularly the first view. But when you have paid in full, the newly established traits predominate. The old tendencies and habits will become dormant. You will be happy because you will be doing what now comes naturally.
To guarantee success it is desirable that you try zealously to maintain physical, mental, and moral health during the period of such an internal struggle.
