About lilianageorgeta

I was born in 19..., 15 of November, Romania. Graduated University of Mechanics, I had a big career as an engineer and Leader Reception at National Railways. But, after my divorce, I had to share the house with the ex. After everything was gone, I realised it is time to start again. I left all there and I came in London for a new beginning.

Welcome to my blog

My name is Georgeta Liliana Dumitrescu and I invite you to come and talk about life and happiness.

I am not a psychologist, I never studied about it. All I
wrote here is from what I read and my own life experience. I hope I can be of
help. I have decided to create this blog because I know there are many people
in the world who are not happy, people who have suffered a breakdown, or people who lost almost everything in their lives.

This blog can be helpful for young people who are at the
peak of their lives and do not know what to choose or do for themselves.

I have also seen people who have lost their faith, people who have made mistakes and people who want to make a new beginning in their lives. This blog can be useful for everybody if they want to make changes in their lives.

I, myself, don’t wish to change the world, but to tell people that there is a better way to view your life and how to make things happen. And if I’d know that I helped even one person, I’d be the happiest woman in the world.

Let’s see how we can make it. Join me and talk. Everybody can learn something more, even me.

”I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.  I believe in being strong when     everything seems to be wrong.  I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles.”

                                         Audrey Hepburn

” When I was 5 years old my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘Happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment , and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

 John Lennon

How to increase your self confidence

Confidence and self esteem are not results of genetics. They are mental processes and skills. The psychology of confidence is an extraordinary combination of cutting-edge psychology techniques which are based on the principle that all behaviour has a structure which can be identified, learned and changed, with remarkable results.

Our modern scientists study the elements and forces which are outside themselves, with the object of controlling and utilizing them.

The ancients studied the elements and forces which were within themselves, with a view to controlling and utilizing them, and the ancients produced such mighty Masters of knowledge in this direction, that to this day they are held in reverence as gods, and the vast religious organizations of the world are based upon their achievements.

Wonderful as are the forces in nature, they are vastly inferior to that combination of intelligent forces which comprise the mind of man, and which dominate and direct the blind mechanical forces of nature.

A man is great in knowledge, great in himself and great in his influence on the world, in the measure that he is great in self control.

Self-confidence is the first step to progress, development, achievement and success. Even if you have a lot of knowledge and abilities, if you don’t have self-confidence you can’t be a success. But, on the contrary, even if you have only average abilities and knowledge, if you have an unfailingly true self-confidence, chances are that you achieve what you want to.

The successes and achievements in turn will strengthen your self-confidence further. People like, respect, believe and trust persons who are self-confident. It is natural that persons with good confidence are offered leadership and other office responsibilities of groups. Success flows to those who have a genuine Self-confidence.

Just as one’s personality affects one’s behaviour, so does the one’s behaviour affects his personality. Acting in a non-assertive way will results in the one’s feeling less confident and will lead to a self reinforcing cycle; where the one’s continuously decreasing self-confidence makes him even less assertive and this in turn weakens him further. This can also work the other way round, since by forcing himself to act in a confident and assertive way, he will start feeling more confident which reinforces and strengthens him even more.

You need to improve your self-esteem. Self-esteem depends on how we evaluate ourselves, our abilities and achievements rather than the quality and quantity of these. By improving ourselves’ acceptance, self concept and self-image, we can improve our self-esteem. Unless we are not able to love ourselves, like ourselves’ respect and accept ourselves as we are with all the defects we have, it is not possible to have self-esteem. People do not accept one who does not accept himself.

Keep a good self-image of yourself in your mind’s eye. Imagine yourself as a strong, confident and decisive person. Never waste your precious time, energy and effort by worrying about weakness and deficits. Accept your deficits; defects as such understand clearly that worrying and mourning over your defects and deficits can never bring their opposites.

Keep and act positively. Think of your wins and successes. Think of your achievements, positives. Find out new opportunities. Be optimistic and realistic. Start to act confidently and positively. Write down the recent successes and achievements you had. Keep the list with yourself and append it whenever possible.

Mingle yourself with people who are optimistic, positive and active. Work with those who have confidence in themselves and in you. Avoid the company with those who destroy your self-confidence and enthusiasm.

Help others whole heartedly without expecting anything (even thanks) in return. Help others just for sake of helping. You will gradually gain more confidence by this.

Be happy and smile. Be friendly and approachable. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Believe that one door closes and nine new ones open before you. Believe that there are opportunities and look for them.

Behave in line with the stereotyped behaviour of those who are confident. This easily makes others think you are confident. Keep yourself straight when walking, standing and sitting. Walk with firm steps, do not be absent minded. Keep yourself energetic and vital. Speak confidently, don’t be indecisive. If you are aware of your goal, you’ll not be indecisive.

You don’t have to compare yourself with other people, or to choose the criteria that put you on the weak end of comparison. When you do this you ignore all that is great about you and you pick just this one thing that you lack and compare it to.

The true self confidence comes from an attitude where you ‘’promise yourself, no matter how difficult the problem life throws at you, that you will try as hard as you can to help yourself.’’ Professor Raj Persaud.

How to play the game of life?

Because I believe the life is a game. Most people consider life a fight, but is not true. Life is a game. A game, what still it can be played if only you know the spiritual rules. And the big game is about Giving and Receiving. If you give hatred, you will receive hatred. If you criticize, you will be criticized. If you lie, you will be lied. Whatever man feels deeply or images clearly, is impressed upon the subconscious mind, and carried out in minutest detail. To play successfully the game of life, we must train the imaging faculty. A person with an imaging faculty trained to image only good, brings into his life every righteous desire of his heart, like health, wealth, friends, love, perfect self-expression, his highest ideals. Jesus Christ taught that the man’s words played a leading part in the game of life. ‘’ By your words you’re justified and by your words you are condemned.’’ Many people have brought disaster into their lives through idle words.

There are three departments of the mind: conscious mind, subconscious mind and super conscious mind.

Conscious mind is called the objective mind. This is the surface mind, the everyday mind, the mind we use in our waking hours. This is the human mind and it sees the life as it seems to be.  Conscious mind sees death, calamities, illness, poverty and all kind of limitations and it impresses the subconscious mind.

Subconscious mind or subjective mind is a stratum of mind which receive the knowledge and wisdom which has passed through the conscious mind. It holds the habits and instincts formed at some time and placed in and by the conscious mind. “Sub” means under, the subconscious mind lies under the conscious mind, as the depths of the lake lie under the surface. The subconscious mind is a simple undirected power. It is like electricity, it goes where is guided, with no electrical induction. Every deep feeling or sharp imagination, it impregnates in the subconscious and it comes true in every little detail.

Super conscious mind is called Divine mind in every man and it is the kingdom of the perfect ideas. Super conscious mind is above the conscious mind and is what we call God, out of which comes all  wisdom.

‘’ There is a place where only you can fill it and nobody else. There is something that only you have to do and nobody else can do.’’- Platon.

Actually, this is the real man’s truth sent of the Infinite Intelligence that laid in him.

But most of the people ignore their real destiny and they fight for things and situations that don’t belong them, but all of these things bring unsatisfactions.

The man is the microcosms and the Universe is the macrocosms. Victor Hugo said ‘’Man is an infinite little copy of God.’’

Faith is in atmosphere and we live by using it, just as a fish lives by using the water. Faith springs eternal in every human breast, fed from universal source.

Every soul lives by faith and plenty of it. But he lives in faith by what? There is the rub. Until we emerge from a sense of materiality- and no one has as yet got more than his nose above these muddy waters- we live by faith in things seen, smelt, tasted, heard and felt. These are the only things we are familiar with; to them we pin our faith and pride ourselves upon our good sense, reason and lack of “superstition”.

I can’t believe in anything until I see it- is our self- satisfaction cry.

Those who would understand and feel and use the invisible forces must believe that they are, and that they reward those who diligently seek to understand and use them.

Unseen things move the visible world. The material one being pinned by his faiths to the things of the world is moved as the world is moved. He is a mere puppet in the hands of the unseen powers. The material one’s faith is pinned to things already seen; therefore, his creative principle is poured into the thing already created. Then life juggles and tumbles things until the material one’s faiths are torn loose from their material moorings, and go feeling out into the Unseen for new things to cling to. When the whole bunch of visible things has failed us, if our faiths are broken loose from fathers, mothers, brothers, friends, houses and lands, where else can our faiths take hold again except in the region of the Unseen?

Pin your faiths to the Unseen things and let patience have her perfect work. So, shall you realize your heart’s full desire. Let things rock as they will; let the facts be stubborn and conditions hard if they need be. Never mind them. To mind them is to pin your faiths to them.

Mind the Unseen things. Pin your faiths to your ideals. Flout facts and hard conditions. Believe in the Unseen. Train your faiths upward.

“Whatsoever ye desire believe that ye receive.”

How to get what you want in your life

Some people seem to attract success, power, wealth with very little conscious effort; others conquer with great difficulty; still others fail altogether to reach their desires and ideals. Why it is so? Why should some people realize their ambitions easily, others with difficulty, and still others not at all? The cause is not physical, else the most perfect men, physically, would be the most successful. The difference is mental- is in the mind; hence mind must be the creative force, must constitute the sole difference between men. When the creative power of thought is fully understood, its effect will be seen to be marvellous. Thoughts are things, and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, a burning desire for their translation into riches or other things they desire. But mind creates negative conditions just as readily as favourable conditions, and when we consciously or unconsciously visualize every kind of lack, limitation and discord, we create these conditions; this is what many are unconsciously doing all the time.

‘’Whatever your mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.’’ It could be Money, Fame, Power, Contentment, Personality, Peace of Mind or Happiness.

Man is a wonderful creature, but he must be trained and developed to be useful. A great work can be accomplished by every man if he can be awakened to do his very best. But the greatest man would not accomplish much if he lacked concentration and effort. Dwarfs can do often the work of giants when they are transformed by the almost magic power of great mental concentration. But giants will only do the work of dwarves when they lack this power.

First step, and the most important one, is to know exactly what you want. You need to have a definite desire, extremely clear of what you want to achieve. For example, if you want to have more money, you cannot say I want more money.’  You need to know exactly how much money you want to make, like ‘I am going to make 100 000 pounds ‘, or ‘I am going to make one million pounds.’

Second, you need to have a burning desire to get what you want. You need to develop this desire, to become obsession of your life.

Third, you need to have a positive mental attitude. Success is achieved and maintained by those to keep trying with Positive Mental Attitude. (‘’ We are poor-not because of God. We are poor because father has never developed a desire to become rich. No one in our family has ever developed a desire to be anything else.’’ – Success Through Positive Attitude). Keep your mind positive, because your mind is your invisible talisman. Positive attitude is the right attitude for each specific occasion. Have you the courage to aim high and strive daily to keep your goal before you?

Act is the flower of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruits. Thought in the mind has made us. What we are by thought was wrought and built. Man, in harmony with his thoughts, forges the weapons by which he destroys himself. You are always the master, even in your weakest and most abandoned state.

Fourth, you need to have faith, to develop faith. Faith is a state of mind which you may develop at will. It can be induced by auto-suggestion. Faith is the starting point of all accumulation of riches. Faith is the basis of all the miracles, all mysteries which cannot be analyzed by the rules of sciences. Faith removes limitations in your mind. You have absolute control over your mind. You must concentrate on your goal. Through concentration you work out your ideals in physical life. Your future depends upon the ideals you are forming now. If you want a bright future you must begin to prepare for it today. Ideals are reflected to us from the unseen spirit.

Thought, in thinking substance, produces shapes. You are a thinking centre, capable of original thought. You can form things in your thought. In concentrate mental control, there is latent power more potent than physical force. The person becomes aware that the attitude of the mind has a power of controlling, directing and governing other forces. He has been placed in an attitude capable of acquiring that which he desires.

Fifth, you need to visualize, forming a mental image of what you wish to accomplish. This image becomes a thought-seed that attracts thoughts of a similar nature. Around this thought, when it is once planted in the imagination or creative region of the mind, you group or build associated thoughts which continue to grow as long as your desire is keen enough to compel close concentration.

Form the habit of thinking of something you wish to accomplish for five minutes each day. Shut every other thought out of consciousness. Be confident that you will succeed. Make up your mind that all obstacles that are in your way will be overcome and you can rise above any environment. You do this by utilizing the natural laws of the thought world which are all powerful.

Sixth, take inspired action. This is the key- inspired action and not just any action. Inspired action comes from that gut instinct or sudden flash of an idea. It comes when you are clear about what you desire and are concentrated on this. All the answers are somewhere inside you. You have your Inner Silent Partner. Start listening to yourself and you will start to tap into your Inner Silent Partner and all the wisdom you have.

Seventh, let it go. When you plant a seed, you water it and make sure it gets sunlight and then you trust the Universe and the work you did and you assume it will grow. You don’t dig it up every day to see if it’s growing. It’s the same with this…   Let go of how it will happen and KNOW that what you want is already on its way to you.

‘’Life is a checker board and the player opposite you is TIME. Your partner who will not tolerate indecision.’’ Napoleon Hill.

Remember, you are the master of your fate, the captain of your soul.
